New Player Start Here
Never played paintball? No problem. Here's everything you need to know to show up and have a blast.
No Gear Needed
All equipment — mask, marker, and paintballs — is available at the field. Just show up in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes are a must.
All Ages Welcome
APC events are family-friendly. Kids, adults, seniors — everyone plays together. We also have Jelly Ball for younger kids, a lower-impact version that's perfect for first-timers.
Show Up at 9am
Events kick off at 9am. Arrive a little early to get checked in, grab your gear, and meet some of the crew. We'll walk you through everything before the first game.
Bring a Friend
Everything is more fun with a crew. Bring family, bring coworkers, bring your whole neighborhood. The more the merrier — and first-timers always fit right in.
Find the Field
We rotate between Central Alabama Paintball, Paintball Quest, and Prime Paintball. Check the Events page for the next location and get directions right from the site.
Message Us First
Hit us up on Facebook before your first event. We'll answer any questions, confirm the details, and make sure you know exactly what to expect. We love new players.

The Community
Teams, Players
& Families.
APC isn't just a game — it's a community. From first-timers to seasoned competitors, everyone finds their place here. These are some of the notable teams that call Alabama Paintball Club home.
A band of mechanics who traded wrenches for paintball markers and never looked back. The Grease Monkeys found their way into the APC family and went all in — bringing the same grit and brotherhood from the shop floor to the field. Competing at the D6 level and always welcoming new players, they're proof that the best teams aren't always built from athletes. Sometimes they're built from good people who just love the game.
Founded by APC member and good friend Cole, the Red Mountain Raiders were built from a tight-knit group of friends and have grown into one of the most respected teams in the APC community. Competing at the D5 and D6 level, the Raiders are both a welcoming home for new players and a competitive force on the field. One team. One family.
Born from the Birmingham Rising players, Iron City Chaos carries that same spirit of growth and inclusion forward. Competing at the D5 and D6 level, this team is always open to new players and dedicated to helping them improve. If you're just getting started and want to be part of a real team that has your back, Iron City Chaos is exactly that.
APC Savages is Alabama Paintball Club's home competitive team, playing mechanical 10-man paintball. If you've got a passion for the game and want to take it to the next level — competing in organized, structured, mechanical format — APC Savages is the team for you. Interested in playing competitive mechanical 10-man paintball? Reach out to Chris Powers and let's talk.
Team Misfits is a long-running professional 10-man team made up of OGs and killers who know this game inside and out. Several players hail from Alabama, and they show up regularly to compete and give back. Misfits is a full sponsor of Alabama Paintball Club — and their mission aligns perfectly with ours: grow the sport, welcome back players who haven't picked up a marker in years, and remind everyone why they fell in love with paintball in the first place.
The Atlanta Jungle Cats have been a fixture in the paintball world for years, but 2026 marks their debut as a full professional team — and it's been a long time coming. Many of the players are close friends of Chris Powers, and APC proudly supports the Jungle Cats whenever possible. Notably, Mikey McGowan — owner of Prime Paintball, one of APC's home fields — plays on the Jungle Cats. Supporting the Jungle Cats means supporting Prime Paintball, and supporting Prime means supporting APC. It's all one family.
